Day 176!!!!! Brothers and sisters! We did it!!! We are OVERJOYED that Danny has been released and is on his way home – we cannot wait to hold him in our arms. We are tremendously grateful to all the people who have helped secure his release, especially Ambassador Richardson, as well as our friends, family and the public who have expressed their support and stood by our sides as we endured these long and difficult months. I don't know how we could ever express our gratitude. On behalf of the Fenster-Racey-Kurzweil families, we say THANK YOU and we love you so much. #BringDannyHome
Frontier Myanmar's managing editor, Danny Fenster, was detained at Yangon International Airport, May 24, 2021, shortly before he was due to board a flight to Kuala Lumpur heading home to visit his family in Detroit. Danny has been at Insein Prison in Yangon ever since. He still has no charges brought upon him. Danny's only crime was being a journalist. His family is deeply concerned about his health with the prison being hit hard with Covid. We are calling for his immediate release.
